Creative Choreography Workshops

From September to November 2017, Beth ran a series of choreographic workshops at the Linda Virgoe Academy in Gloucester for the diploma students. She challenged the students, who are used to technique classes, to explore the body and find new ways of moving. Patterns that appear every day such as letters of the alphabet, or the sound of a word were used alongside Somatic techniques as starting points for movement. The quality of movement increased each week, leading to engaging sequences that came as a result of chance or careful consideration.
